Grizzly Peak Tops Michigan Brewpubs in Production

ANN ARBOR, MI., MAY 9, 2007 – Ann Arbor's own Grizzly Peak Brewing Company produced more barrels of handcrafted beer last year than any of its Michigan peers. Michigan Beer Guide recently noted that, at 1,407 barrels of beer, Grizzly Peak accounts for nearly seven percent of the 20,955 total barrels produced by Michigan brewpubs last year. It is the first time Grizzly Peak has earned this distinction.

"It's a craft we all love – creating great specialty beers that so many enjoy. This is a distinction in which the entire staff can take pride," said Duncan Williams, Brew Master at Grizzly Peak.

With its seven-barrel brewery system in the front window, Grizzly Peak Brewing Company stays ahead of the game in more ways than one. Voted Best Brewpub by Ann Arbor News the past three consecutive years, Grizzly Peak maintains a warm, casual atmosphere with its progressive menu and "from scratch" kitchen.

Grizzly Peak Brewing Company is located at 120 West Washington Street in Ann Arbor. Grizzly Peak opened in August of 1995. This concept is owned by GPBC, Inc. and is operated by Mission Management Services under a management contract. The restaurant has gathered many favorable reviews and was named "Restaurant of the Year" by AAA Magazine in its first year of operation. Its menu is varied and features popular foods served in a unique and interesting manner. The brewery features handcrafted ales and always has something new and unique on tap for lounge and dining room guests.
